Soloist at Boringdon Hall Hotel.

Lovely solo violin wedding at the very special Boringdon Hall Hotel. What a gorgeous venue to play and to have your wedding at. Always love a venue with a balcony as well! We had some Taylor Swift today, Wildest Dreams for the entrance of the bridal party and You belong with me for the exit. I also played a couple of romantic classics for the signing of the register, Can't help falling in love with you and Your Song! I then accompanied the canapes and drinks reception for an hour with some more feel good uplifting pop and rock songs. Fab day! Thank you to Boringdon Hall Hotel staff for being so helpful and on it!

‘We were so lucky to have the wonderful Richard Toomer as our violinist for our elopement wedding on July 30th 2019.

From our very first correspondence with Richard, he was so warm, professional and enthusiastic. We had a good idea of what we were after, and Richard listened and was so accommodating, even learning two new pieces for us for our day. He also had a vast repertoire for us to choose the bulk of our music from.

He played the pieces so beautifully, with his rendition of Steve Earle's Galway Girl bringing me to tears - it was just so perfect! Underlining his versatility, he played a more upbeat version of the same song later on for us all to boogie along to, and it was just fantastic. He learnt Bowie’s Magic Dance for us to exit to and he completely picked up on our enthusiasm for this song and everyone, including the registrars, boogied their way down the aisle. It was wonderful!

Richard, thank you for being part of our day and making it so special, you were fantastic! ’

‘If you need a violinist or pianist who plays everything from Coldplay to Bach then this is your man! Hugely talented but also very easy to work with. Richard already has a huge repertoire (some of which is listed on his website) but if he doesn’t know it, is super flexible and will learn any requests. It was really easy to book Richard (we dealt with Richard over email/WhatsApp) and he was quick to respond to queries. Feedback from guests was superb - I will never forget standing in the sunshine listening to Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’! A huge thank you and couldn’t recommend Richard more. ’
